Augur Jans vintage canvas backpack

A smaller sized backpack with plenty of compartments. I actually missed mentioning a zipper compartment on the inside of the backpack in my review.

If I wanted to put a small office style trash can inside, what size would fit snug?
Rubber Duckie (10 months ago)
I can't really say, if you pull the drawstrings together it appears smaller, but I think it is a good size backpack, but I wouldn't use it for camping, too small for that. I use it as an everyday bag for work, fits daily essentials.

was this the larger version?

do you know if it's synthetic canvas or cotton canvas? and can it carry heavy loads? I'm looking for a sort of traditional style backpack. The ones used in colonial times and for exlorations.

Hero van Diejen Amazon says it's cotton canvas.

probably too late, but most likely its synthetic because if it was cotton they'd brag about it

Which color bag is this? I like this color the best!
Rubber Duckie (1 year ago)
So as I mentioned in the review, I ordered the "Army Green" color. When this bag arrived and I saw it, it did not look army green to me, more like a khaki color, but on the tag they had a sticker that read "Green". So I'm not completely sure if this is what they consider "Army Green", or if the bag was mislabeled. The best advise I can give you is to look at the colors of the images before you make the purchase, or better yet, to contact the seller before purchasing the bag and confirm they will be willing to exchange the color if you don't receive the one you want. Thanks, hope it works out for you.

How would you say it's holding up so far?

Thanks, man!

So I did use this on a short trip to Missouri last week and it held up really well. I used it as a carry on luggage on the plane. The back sleeve pocket on the inside fit my HP Stream 11 netbook perfectly (it even had an elastic velcro to secure it). The power cord went into one of the side pockets. I had a few granola bars in the other side pocket. In the front pocket I had a pen, keys, smaller items, etc. And in the inside front facing sleeve, I had all my travel documents. This still left me with plenty of room in the main compartment for more stuff. The zippers are still working fine. The backpack was comfortable to carry. As I mentioned in my video, it is a smaller sized backpack, but for carrying everyday essentials, I think it is great.
