I have been looking for a solid daily carry for awhile. Used your site and videos as recommendation. Just got the brown buffalo standard issue. Overall great material and awesome functionality. But the strap fit is extremely narrow and made for much smaller guys. I’m not even that big - 6 ft athletic build - and the straps are way too narrow. I compared it to my jansport right pack and the straps are much narrower. Don’t really understand why. Something to keep in mind.
After purchasing what I thought was the perfect backpack for me for every day carry + casual travel (the Away Backpack) it started to rip within 3 months. I've since embarked on an obsessive journey trying to find perfect backpack #2, and today I discovered your channel. I don't know if it's helping or making it more difficult to choose but thanks for having a video on almost every bag I'm seriously considering!
Which is the most comfortable day pack in your review, as i have a titanium clavicle plate on my right shoulder. Peak design bags are out of the questions as their shoulder strap is too rough and hard that create discomfort for me.
Good question... it's a little floppy to me. But it's also lightweight because of that. And the material is durable. So, to me, The Brown Buffalo is an extremely functional simple-looking bag which has a very hip aesthetic in my book.
The Kletterwerks Summit bag is discontinued. Your link doesn't work anymore so you didn't get the kickback (unfortunately) but I was able to find it here https://www.mountainsteals.com/product/mystery-ranch-kletterwerks-summit-pack_10307239 for $99 bucks since the manufacturer isn't making it anymore; If anyone is interested. Thanks for doing all these vids. So far that's two bags I've bought based on your reviews. The other was the Aer Travel Pack 2.0. Dope! One for work trips, one for around the neighborhood with my son and daughter.
Hi Chase..i'm a huge fan of backpacks and i owned many jansports but i fell in love with the brown buffalo backpack it is perfect its uttrly stylish and comfortable. How i wish it is available here at the Philippines.
I've been looking for a channel like this for years. Loved the website. Love all the videos. Respect how you carved your own path. Appreciate that you're both appreciative and critical when needed for all bags. Thank you for the details and for caring about every detail because you know some people just don't care about if it's perfect for chasing clout but if it's functional.
Hey Chase, great review again. I’m looking for a great work backpack for my wife. So it needs to look good, feminine, can carry a laptop, iPad, extra pair of shoes 😂 and lunch. Keep that in mind for your upcoming reviews. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Wow, I love that Trakke. It doesn't really belong with the rest of the bags - fine as they are - because it's in another league. That's probably going to be my next bag in the quest. Just not sure it will satisfy the cranny creeper in me.
Chase!!! What's your pick for *perpetual* one-bag, under the seat in front of you travel? A max. legal carry one-bag is too large to keep it with you at all times. Under the seat would mean it can fit between your legs on a bus, etc.
I’m going to college in a month and I obsessively researched backpacks because I’m insane and want a system that’s perfect :P after about 2 days of almost nonstop research I found your channel. Amazing. This video however, this video is the holy grail of backpack videos. You are a life saver. I loved all of them so I don’t know which I’ll get, but when I do, definitely letting the company know that I discovered their bag through your channel. You’re funny, informative, and thorough. Keep up the amazing work! Cheers.
The Qwstion bags are killer diller - bought 3 different sizes off the back of your earlier vid Chase (incl. a tote... which is a great EDC backpack as it happens). Sole other bag I haven't seen you review much of are messenger bags - especially ones legitimately for cycling. I've a LifeBehindBars echelon 32L one that is like the tardis for carry options.
Some great choices, here! I love the Bolt stuff, but not at their prices. That ISM looks amazing... To my mind, bang for the buck, the "belle of the ball", that Kletterwerks/Mystery Ranch, is the choice. In spite of the annoyingly limited color choices.
Hi Chase! Been a huge fan of you and your videos for a while now,, and I just wanted to let you know that it was thanks to your review that I picked up a Waterfield Designs Bolt Backpack and I LOVE IT. I made sure to mention your name when they asked how I found out about them, and I really hope they’ll establish an affiliate relationship with you one day (you and your dope reviews deserve it). Keeping my fingers crossed!
Why not just get a Filson Rucksack or Journeyman? American made, 22 ounce rugged Twill with horse bridle leather, Made in Seattle, company dates back to 1897. Ykk rugged zippers and solid brass hardware. $350 for both in many markets
Seeing you surprised to find your notebook in the Gud bag makes me wonder how many times you leave things in other bags. I just imagine you sitting down at the cafe going "Aw, hell, which bag did I leave my headphones in this time!"
What are some university backpacks that you would recommend? I mean something that has a lot of storage but isn’t bulky, has good support for your back, and some organization inside. Also preferably water resistant for walking around campus (oh, and of course stylish!) . I’ve been doing research and I am having trouble finding something that meets all my criteria
Excellent overview of bags that serve to just get us to the "office". Whether that's a coffee shop, a We Work, an airport or a more standard conservative office.
Really like that Ism bag and the Baron Fig, espe ially for when I need something a bit nicer looking than the Minaal Daily.
Keep it up brother, love your reviews
