Im take one fly in 7 days, Nov 3 to Nov 10, so spirit not charge nothing for that bag...??
It's our Fenwick Life (1 month ago)
No, the bag in this video is included as a free personal item. :)
Ramiro (2 months ago)
i have a little bag that also has wheels and handle and i measured it and the only issue its 15" instead of 14" do you think that's a No-No ?
It's our Fenwick Life (2 months ago)
Make sure to include the wheels in your measurements, they count. You have presented a tricky question. If they notice and have you put it in the sizer that one inch will cost ya; I have seen it happen over and over. So, I am not sure, but I personally would not chance it but I am sure people board the plane with an extra inch in their bags all the time. It's a gamble.

Can you tote a purse with the free item or do you have to put it in your luggage?
Martina’s Jurnee (2 months ago)
Thank you! That’s what I was thinking. That’s helpful.
It's our Fenwick Life (2 months ago)
Unfortunately no, you have to tuck your purse into your luggage. Thank you for watching! Hugs!

We are using our backpacks after just finding out what they charge for carry ons! They match the measurement requirements. But after this trip I will be buying this bag. I don't mind my backpack but I need more structure
It's our Fenwick Life (5 months ago)
I see a lot of people using backpacks, they work well. I agree, I do prefer a more structured bag. We will be using a back pack for a possible United flight in their basic economy, they require and even smaller bag than Spirit; wish me luck! haha! Hugs! Link to the bag I use for spirit is in the description box, not an affiliate link just there for convenience!

Is the bag in the video the exact dimensions or smaller?
It's our Fenwick Life (5 months ago)
It is one inch smaller than the required dimensions. I recommend the bag, it is linked in the description box. We have used it several times. I will say it does fall forward sometimes so we just turn it around and lean it against something and it is fine.

Nice video . Bed bath and beyond sell vacuum bags. Save space.

I know this is a little late to the game but: We are going on a nine day trip using only a personal item and I found that if you put your clothes in ziploc-type bags and squeeze the air out it saves a lot of space. I want to pack clothes, etc., not air...and air does take up space!

Great video! Where did you purchase the luggage?
Melissa Medina (8 months ago)
Very helpful video but I still have a question can I pack any makeup even glass foundation bottles, palettes and brushes inside my personal item bag?
It's our Fenwick Life (8 months ago)
All of your liquids must be in one quart size clear bag, your non liquid powders and brushes can be in a makeup bag of your choosing but all of your liquids must be together in one quart size clear bag and each container of liquid cannot be any larger than 3.4oz. I am trying to be clear but I may be confusing you more... here is an explanation from TSA . https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/liquids-rule Hope that helps!! :)

It's our Fenwick Life thank you so much!! I am traveling in frontier airlines and yes I’ll do that so it doesn’t matter what I bring as long as I separate them in ziplock bags ? Including toiletries ? Or can I take my own personal lil makeup bags?
It's our Fenwick Life (8 months ago)
You can bring all of your makeup and brushed in your personal item bag, even the little glass bottles and containers however if it is liquid it needs to be in the liquids bag. Liquid foundation, liquid concealer, liquid lipstick, gloss etc. I did not use to separate the concealers, lipsticks and lipgloss until recently a security personnel told me I had to. Thank you for watching! Safe travels!

I’m taking a flight soon for the first time! And I’m nervous on what the bag requirements are and how one has to pack! For example the personal bag that one takes with them on the plane is free correct! Can I put my makeup stuff and personal hygiene stuff inside of there with other little bags! Also are the checked bags free! Do I pay for the bag that I give them! The bigger one with all my cloth it’s 62 inches!! I need help ASAP!! I’m really confused!! I will have two bags!! A 62in and a personal bag which is the free one!!
It's our Fenwick Life (10 months ago)
Hi there! Sorry for the delay in getting to your questions, we just got back into the states. I am answering your questions for a Spirit Airlines flight, you didn't say which airline specifically so I am assuming Spirit because your questions are posted on a Spirit video. Yes, the personal item is free, make sure it is 18x14x8 or smaller and you may only have that one item, not even a purse (I stick my purse in my personal item bag). Yes, you can put your makeup in the carry on, remember all liquids must be in one, single quart sized clear bag and each item must be 3 ounces or less. Checked bags are not free, the prices vary depending on the bag size and if you are a Bare Fare member or not. The Spirit website has a listing for checked bag prices. The weight limit, no matter the bag size is 40 pounds. There is a fee for bags weighing over 40 pounds. 62 inches is fine and is the max size allowed, again, the weight limit is 40 pounds. Their personal bag is the free one, you will pay for your checked bag. You're going to be fine! happy travels, post any more questions you have and I will answer them as quickly as I can.

Do you know the name of the bag you used? The link on ebay is no longer active.
It's our Fenwick Life (11 months ago)
Jessica White oh no! I guess it finally sold out. It’s called the boarding Blue bag. Once I’m back home I’ll see if I can locate it anywhere. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. It’s a great bag and is holding up well for us.

I use packing cubes. Love them!

Was your bag ok’d or did you have to pay
It's our Fenwick Life (1 year ago)
I did not have to pay to carry this bag on the plane, it fits under the seat and is a perfect "personal item' bag for Spirit air. Thank you for watching, happy travels!

Thank you, I have put the Ebay purchase link in the description box above, too (I get nothing from my link, and Boarding Blue has no idea who I am). So far the bag has held up very well. Thanks for your input! Happy travels!

Where do you put your handbag
It's our Fenwick Life (1 year ago)
I have a very small, flat crossbody purse that flat packs into the bag. A larger purse/bag mace be empties and flat packed into the bag as well, just may require some clever packing to get everything to fit properly. Thank you for watching.

It's been 10 years since I've had to remove any liquids. I don't think you need to worry about removing them from your bag.
interestedparty (1 year ago)
Actually, I'm not TSA-pre, and I've flown in and out of Bush over a dozen times in the last 10 years without having to remove any liquids. I think I've flown in and out of Tampa twice in the last 10 years. Try it. I did like your video about packing the bag. I just don't want you to be constrained about removing your liquids.
It's our Fenwick Life (1 year ago)
Here in Houston at Bush Intercontinental Airport it is required to pull your liquids out from your bag and place them on top of your bag for X-ray, the same is True for Tampa International Airport. Every time we fly it is a requirement of those who are not TSA PreCheck; this may not be the case for some airports or states/cities. Thank you for watching and commenting.

can i still carry a purse? or will that be considered 2 personal bags?
It's our Fenwick Life (1 year ago)
Hi! No, you may not carry a purse in addition to your personal item bag- not even a small one. You are correct, it will be considered another personal item bag. I picked up a wallet case for my phone ( amazon for really cheap) for the airport so I could have my ID/credit card handy, a lanyard will work, as well. I put my empty purse, or as empty as it can be in my personal item bag so that I still have it with me once at my destination. Thank you for watching!
