Wait.. this is too funny.. she's bashing messenger bags, but promotes leather backpacks????? HELLO leather backpack = mix of casual and formal, does not go hand in hand! Looks bad, you can't wear it with a suit/sport coat, looks tacky with jeans and sneakers.. Hilarious, no wonder celebs dress poorly they have her to show them. Leather backpacks fit with athleisure-inspired clothes and active wear. Nothing else. Peacoat/sport coat/over coat or just that "smart look" etc.. use a satchel, but not with a suit.
I have really strong opinions on backpacks, but I don’t wanna say anything cuz I don’t wanna talk shit! Request???? Can you test the fireproof bag just for giggles? Stick a firecracker in the bag and see what happens?
Hey Ashley, how do you feel about more rugged styles? I think the Coach Bleecker Backpack looks really nice, but I'd like your opinion on it. I think it may have come out after this video was published.
Hello! I am a backpack guy, I use my bagpacks for tech and sports utility, these are really impractical, no back system for comfort or cooling, and you'll be feeling those straps. They look bad from my point of view(the brown one really looks like my grandpa used to have) and the colors are a no way! Except the black one!
hello ms ashley.. i have a question what color of backpack should i use when i like to wear black jacket (bomber leather and navy parka for winter/fall)or tshirt black grey and white and navy for summer/spring.. I'm a college/part time student..thank you so much
Seriously though, who is/are the audience for this video? Guys that have $800 to spare on a backpack are most likely not YouTube-ing what backpacks to buy...I may be wrong, I don't know, but this video seems strange to me
There is always cheaper options, I didn't like any of the watches in that video, but the basic advice is pretty spot on, even get a faux leather bag one there cheaper. Plain t-shirts and polos try asos. Personally I think a small logo Ralph Lauren t shirt looks good but Ashley will say lose the logo. Yet all I get is compliments on my clothes
I highly disagree with leather... I would recommend something which is classy but weather proof... Where I live it rains almost daily for the first 6 - 8 months of the year, so as much as I love leather, not good for a backpack which is carrying most of my tech gear
Louis Clerc Absolutely positively straight and I would definitely carry this... https://lotuffleather.com/collections/mens-backpacks/products/leather-backpack
If I had ANY interest in a backpack, which I don't...
I really liked the This is Ground backpack.. went to look at how much they were. I was expecting a couple hundred... ish. But $1,000+ kinda blew my mind that a backpack could be over 1k. Never would've expected that :S
hi ashley congrat about you videos, it helps a lot, but what about hat, high quality hats not caps but derbys, fedoras, mainly for guys like me that have no hair on the head, i know men left hats behind, but i don´t care i love them, so can you say someting about hats?
With much respect, This video of the backpacks is not saying much. what this video shows is what you like about them. You didn't show any of the backpacks capabilities. like showing pocket sizes, what size computer you can fit into them, how much stuff can one carry in them. etc... I'm looking to purchase a leather backpack and this video failed to sell me one.
Why even bother doing an overview. You either showcase the whole product or you don't. This is just a constructive criticism. BTW, should have included Tumi. Those people know a thing or 2 about backpacks.
Those who are complaining about how expensive the bags are, should understand what she work as. Her experience and taste varies from our normal lifestyle's. Beauty or to look cool also pays a price. Heck, even I can't afford all that but it's good to know about all these. If you want high quality leather bags you can't expect a cheap price... But I would appreciate if there's examples for cheaper alternatives :)
Damian Pickett but what rules are there? I just never understood how there could be "rules" as to what you wear. I have never heard any normal person say to another - "you can't wear that", purley because they don't have the right. If you get what im saying?
Buy one expensive item you can use for life rather than buy 50 chinese bags that breaks down in three months. Then you have to spend gas and time buying a new bag and transferring your stuff. What a hassle trying to save a couple of bucks would be.
Thanks for the sleek elegant selection.
Have also been looking a suitable bag pack that combines sleek form with ergonomics. (Yeah, want to look good and take care of my body. )
I've yet to find a backpack that distribute the weight into the hips (away from the spine) and still look sleek in a professional environment >_<
Just ordered the Kill Spencer Spec Ops 2.0 backpack - love the design. I talked to the gal manning the phones and she said they are switching up the design and prices soon - get yours while they last!
Edit: also saw a bag from Zara that I liked the other day on someone.
Do you think Herschel little America Backpack is a good choice? I'm talking about this color in particular http://scene7.zumiez.com/is/image/zumiez/pdp_hero/Herschel-Supply-Little-America-Black-Weather-24L-Backpack-_213536.jpg
